Unidos do Mundo Samba Project
Going our way to Rio? Intensive Samba in Rio!

If you are a gringo sambista who lives outside or inside of Brazil and you are looking for an intense samba experience during Rio's Carnaval, you have come to the right place!

Mission Statement

Unidos do Mundo strives to do the following:

  • To foster serious and respected interchange between non-Brazilian sambistas and sambistas in Brazil
  • To provide an intensive samba experience for the non-Brazilian sambista not possible during the normally busy carnaval period
  • To parade as non-Brazilian sambistas in the sambadrome for a second time in the parade of Champions as was done in the year 2000
  • Foster interchange of samba experts to travel outside of Brazil to teach samba

Join us in Rio for the 2006 Carnaval. There are many exciting programs to participate all coordinated by Unidos do Mundo and LIESA Staff:

  • Samba Dance and Drum Workshops with Pros
  • Lectures by Samba Experts and Greats
  • Tour of floats from the top schools
  • Tour costume manufacturing
  • Trips to buy drums and costumes
  • Participate in samba rehearsals in the top schools
  • Sambadrome tickets
